Privacy Policy

EST Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Company”) values personal information of customers and complies with “Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Etc.”

In Privacy Policy, the Company notifies the customers on purpose and method of using personal information provided by customers and measures taken for the protection of the personal information.

In amendment of Privacy Policy, the Company notifies the customers via website’s notice (or separate notification).

- The Privacy Policy is effective as of March 05, 2021.

1. Personal Information Item to be Collected
The Company collects following personal information for signing up, consultation, service application, etc.

- Collected Items : Name, date of birth, gender, log in ID, password, password question and answer, phone number, address, cell phone number, email, cookie, payment record
- Method of Personal Information Collection : Website (Sign Up)

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Company utilizes collected personal information for following purposes

- Performance of service contract and settlement of charges for provided service
Provision of contents, purchase and charge payment, shipping and billing, financial transaction authentication and financial service

- Member management
Authentication for use of membership service, identification, prevention of wrongful use and unauthorized use, confirmation in intention to sign up, confirmation on age, complaint settlement, delivery of notification

- Utilization in marketing and advertisement Delivery of advertising information such as events, identification of access frequency, statistics on service use 3. Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information

The Company immediately destroys the personal information upon achieving the purpose of collection and use of personal information in principle. Provided, if it is necessary to preserve the personal information in accordance with related statutes, the Company preserves the personal information for the certain period as regulated by the related statutes as follows.

- Item : Payment Record
- Grounds : Record on contract or cooling-off
- Period : Three years
- Records concerning contract or cooling-off : 5 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc.)
- Records concerning payment and supply of goods, etc. : 5 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc.)
- Records regarding consumer complaints and dispute settlement : 3 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc.)

4. Procedures and Methods of Personal Information Destruction
In principle, the Company immediately destroys the personal information upon achieving the purpose of collecting and using the personal information. The procedures and methods of destruction are as follows.

- Procedures of Destruction
The Information submitted by the User in signing up is transferred to a separate database (a separate filing cabinet in case of paper) upon achieving the purpose, stored for a certain period (refer to Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information) according to grounds of personal information protection in the internal policy and other related statutes, and destroyed after the period.
The personal information is not used for any purposes other than the intended purpose unless otherwise provided in other Acts.

- Methods of Destruction
Personal information saved as an electronic file format is destroyed by using a technical method so that information cannot be recycled.

5. Provision of Personal Information

The Company does not provide personal information of user externally in principle. Provide, the Company may provide personal information to others for any of the following exceptional cases.

- Where the user consents in advance;
- Where it is required by the investigation agency in accordance with the provisions in the statute or procedures and methods specified in the statute for the investigation.

6. Entrustment of Collected Personal Information

To provide the service, the Company entrusts the personal information to the external specialized company as follows.

- Entrusted Affairs : Website and system management

7. Right of User and Legal Representative and Exercising Method
- The User may access or modify the registered personal information and request on deleting the account at any time;
- To view and modify the personal information, the User may inspect and correct the personal information in “Change Personal Information”. To delete the account (withdraw consent), the User may click ‘Delete Account’ and complete authentication procedure to inspect, correct, or delete the account;
- Contact the personal information protection manager via letter, phone, or email and the personal information protection manager will take measures immediately;
- In case of requesting on correction of the error in the personal information, the Company does not use or provide the personal information until it is corrected. Also, when the wrong personal information is already provided to the Third Party, the Company immediately notifies the Third Party of the personal information correction results to correct the information;
- The Company destroys the personal information withdrawn or canceled upon the request from the user in accordance with “Period of Retention and Use of Collected Personal Information” and the personal information cannot be inspected or used for purposes other than the intended purpose;
- In case of a child under the age of 14 years, the legal representative has the right to inspect and revise the personal information of the child or to withdraw the consent to collect and use personal information.

8. Installation and Operation of Automatic Personal Information Collection System and Refusal

The Company uses “Cookie” that saves and loads information of the User. “Cookie” is a small text file sent from the server used to run a site to the browser and it is saved on the User’s disk.
The Company uses Cookie for the following purposes.

- Purpose of Using Cookie
To analyze the service/site connection frequency and sites, to identify and track the taste and interests of the User, to identify the degree of participation in events and number of visiting the site to provide the marketing and customized service.

The User holds the right to choose whether to install the cookie. Therefore, the User may set an option in the web browser to allow all cookies, check on each saved cookie, and refuse on saving all cookies.
